This paper obtains the exact solutions of the \phi 4 equation, which has
applications in relativistic quantum mechanics and many other scientific
applications. The Lie symmetry approach and simplest equation method is used to
obtain these solutions. As the simplest equation, we have used the equation of
Riccati.
