Publication of an article by an academic staff member for the Accounting Department in Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat in a prestigious scientific journal having an impact factor of 4.223.

According to report by the public relations of university, the article by Dr. Maliheh Ashna, a faculty member of accounting department in Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat, entitled: "Policy uncertainty, economic activity, and carbon emissions: a nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag approach" in the journal "Environmental Science and Pollution Research" with the credit of "JCR-Q2" and the impact factor of "4.223" was accepted and published on March 8, 2022.

In this research, the effects of economic policy uncertainty and economic activity on carbon emissions have been investigated using the non-linear regression distributed lag co-accumulation approach (NARDL) in Iran between 1971 and 2018. The findings indicates that policy uncertainty and economic growth contribute to CO2 emissions and the negative and positive shocks of GDP and uncertainty index on CO2 emissions are significant in the short and long term. According to the results, there is an effect of asymmetric economic production in Iran on CO2 emissions. The results of the analysis of the asymmetric effects of economic uncertainty show a symmetric relationship between the uncertainty index and CO2 emissions, including a shock in the uncertainty index causes a decrease in carbon emissions. In summary, since uncertainty may affect the analysis of carbon emissions incorrectly, some environmental policies such as budget allocations for research and development should be implemented in clean energy and environmental taxes.

The Public Relations and Research Management in Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat congratulates the article researchers and the family of Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat for the success and prays to the Almighty God for the increasing success of these dear ones.
