Publication of an article by a faculty member of the Mechanical Engineering Department in Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat in a journal with JCR-Q1 accreditation and an impact factor of 6.8.

According to the public relations center of the university, the article of Dr. Seyed Ehsan Shakib, a faculty member of the Mechanical Engineering Department in Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat, titled "Boosting stepped solar still system efficiency with affordable natural energy absorbers in the journal of " Case Studies in Thermal Engineering" has been published with the validity of "JCR-Q1" and with the impact factor of "6.8".

Due to drinking water deficiency,  so the best approach to producing drink water is solar desalination system and it`s a good option to increase the production of drinking water, which in this article, we examined a solar still made of galvanized iron that was exposed to a solar simulator with a light intensity of 904 W/m2. We used iron ore, granite, and sponge as photoabsorbers on the surface of the stairs to enhance the interaction between air and water. This increased steam production and made the process of generating fresh water more cost-effective.

The desalination method is placed under the simulator in such a way that in all experiments, The solar simulator system providing uniform radiation on the surface based on their position on the solar still surface, which was perpendicular to the surface. Additionally, the experiment time was equal to 120 min for all experiments, and the intensity of the radiation received from the solar simulator. We used iron ore, granite, and sponge on the surface of the stairs to enhance the efficiency and production of fresh water.

The Research Management in Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat congratulates the article researchers and the family of Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat for the success and prays to the Almighty God for the increasing success of these dear ones.
