Meeting Between the CEO of Tarvand Saffron and the University President, and Unveiling of Qaenat Saffron’s Global Registration Emblem December 28, 2024.

According to the public relations office of Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat, on Saturday, December 28, 2024, Dr. Ehtesham, CEO of Tarvand Saffron Company and Tizpak Khorasan, along with Dr. Mokhtari, faculty member at Qaenat Islamic Azad University and Head of the Qaenat Saffron and Barberry Working Group, and Engineer Valiollah Amini, South Khorasan’s exemplary saffron farmer, met with Dr. Shakib, President of Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat.

Dr. Gholamali Nejad, Head of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Industry Relations at the university, also attended the meeting. During the session, the Global Registration Emblem of Qaenat Saffron was officially unveiled—recognized by WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) in Switzerland as the geographical indication for Iranian saffron.

Dr. Shakib expressed appreciation for the efforts and persistent follow-ups made by Dr. Ehtesham, CEO of Tarvand Saffron Company of Qaenat.

The Farmers’ Union of South Khorasan, which played a key role in securing the global registration of Qaenat Saffron with WIPO in Switzerland, expressed its appreciation and gratitude.

It was emphasized that the official unveiling of this emblem will take place in a dedicated future event, organized by Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat in collaboration with Tarvand Saffron Company.

The meeting also addressed topics such as research projects, industrial support for technology units, and more. It was agreed that more specialized sessions will be held to further develop these initiatives.
