Opening of the First Croquet Field in Qaen April 14, 2025.

During the visit of representatives from the Physical Education Department of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology to Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat, the first croquet field in Qaen County was officially inaugurated.

According to the university’s Public Relations Office, on Tuesday, April 14, 2025, Dr. Hosseini, Director General of Physical Education at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and Secretary of Region 9 Sports for universities and higher education centers in Khorasan and Semnan provinces, along with Dr. Khademlou, advisor to the Cultural, Social, and Student Affairs Department of Ferdowsi University and former secretary of Region 9, visited Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat on behalf of the Physical Education Department of the Student Affairs Organization.

They attended the University Sports Council meeting, assessed existing facilities, and, in alignment with the university’s 2025 strategic plan for expanding new sports disciplines, inaugurated Qaen’s first croquet field at Martyr Haeri Artificial Turf Field. The ceremony was attended by university officials, staff members, the Chairman of the Cultural Commission of Qaen City Council, and members of the county’s Golf and Croquet Committee.

The field was funded by Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat and equipped by the Croquet Committee of the South Khorasan Golf Federation and Qaen County. It is now open to interested students, with free instruction sessions held on alternate days from 5 PM to 7 PM, supervised by committee members.
