Honoring Top Researchers at Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat February 20, 2025.
According to Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat’s public relations office, the ceremony honoring top researchers at the university was held on Monday, February 19, 2025, in the Martyrs of Service Hall. The event was attended by faculty members, professors, university supporters, the director of education, and several school administrators from Qaenat County.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Seyyed Ehsan Shakib, President of Bozorgmehr University, highlighted the university’s significant progress in research and technology outputs. He expressed appreciation for the efforts of the university’s educational and research departments, and acknowledged the contributions of the research and technology offices, IT services, entrepreneurship and industry liaison centers, as well as the university library.
University President Dr. Seyyed Ehsan Shakib emphasized the importance of placing research alongside education as a central mission of modern universities. He noted that the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology now encourages research-driven learning to help nurture innovation and optimism among students.
Dr. Shakib also highlighted the inauguration of the Ofogh Entrepreneurship Center in October 2024, made possible through support from the university’s supporters’ assembly, the Sepehr Cultural Development Foundation, and philanthropist Engineer Sadr Qaeni. The center was established to provide a collaborative space for student-led initiatives and tech-based startups.
Later, Dr. Ashna, Head of Research, presented the university’s annual research report and outlined the process for selecting outstanding researchers.
During the ceremony, Dr. Ali Mohammadian, faculty member of the Department of Islamic Jurisprudence and Law, was recognized as the University’s Outstanding Researcher of the Year 2024, and Dr. Hamid Mortezapour was honored as the Top Researcher of the Faculty of Engineering and the University’s Leading Innovator of the Year 2024.
Among invited lecturers and students, Mr. Reza Sarabi, visiting lecturer in the Department of Islamic Jurisprudence and Law, was named Distinguished Visiting Researcher, and Mr. Hossein Bahrami, a graduate of the Mechanical Engineering Department, was recognized as the Top Student Researcher.
The ceremony also included tributes to Dr. Meysam Kohantorabi and Dr. Ali Mohammadian, faculty members of the Department of Islamic Jurisprudence and Law, on the occasion of their promotion to associate professorship, as well as to Dr. Seyed Mohammad Javadi Moghaddam, honored as the Editor-in-Chief of the University’s first specialized academic journal.
Appreciation was also extended to the staff of the Research and Information Technology departments as part of the event.
