A ceremony honoring the noble role of university professors and recognizing top educational faculty members was held on May 7, 2024.
On the evening of Monday, May 6, 2024, in celebration of Excellence in Education Week, a ceremony honoring distinguished educators of Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat was held at the university’s amphitheater. The event was attended by Dr. Seyed Ehsan Shakib, the university president, members of the board of directors of the university’s Supporters Assembly, faculty members, and invited lecturers.
In his speech, Dr. Shakib paid tribute to Teacher Appreciation Week and expressed sincere gratitude for the invaluable efforts of the esteemed academic staff, distinguished invited professors, and dedicated administrators and colleagues in the university’s educational sector.
In continuation of the ceremony, Dr. Shakib elaborated on the Ministry of Science’s policies, which are structured around three pillars: educational excellence, research excellence, and cultural excellence. He provided explanations regarding the selection process of educational excellence within the university, noting that selection guidelines have been approved by the board of trustees of universities based on their individual capabilities. These guidelines were implemented at Bozorgmehr University of Qaenat last year.
Dr. Shakib emphasized the importance of mentorship, asserting that true mentoring should not be confined to academic matters alone, but also encompass cultural, spiritual, and social dimensions.
Later in the ceremony, Dr. Hassan Heyrani, a faculty member of the Mechanical Engineering Department, was honored as the university’s Outstanding Educator, and Dr. Mehdi Modoodi Arkhoudi was recognized as the Exemplary Professor of the Faculty of Humanities.
In the invited faculty category, Engineer Amir Mohammad Hosseinnezhad from the Mechanical Engineering Department and Dr. Ahmad Nezami from the Accounting Department were named the university’s Exemplary Invited Professors.
The ceremony concluded with a tribute to the university’s educational staff in recognition of their valuable contributions.
